I absolutely agree!!! His style is so fun and carefree! A key part of his style is how often he repeats words consecutively. the frequency of this habit becomes enhanced by the casual, carefree vernacular. Handler's use of repeating the same word more than thrice makes the main point of the page pop out easily.
I noticed that Handler incorporates short parts of song lyrics to unify and justify the thoughts and repetition used throughout a chapter signifying the main theme, or chapter.
As for the question, here's my spin on the answer: "How do you know when something is becoming something that changes you?" I don't think you can know until you're too far in to go back. Or even until it's over and you've changed. Then it's too late. I think those moments can only be picked out in hindsight.
Joe like Romeo? haha. I guess Romeo did kind of give away his affections very easily, like Joe. If I had to assign Romeo an adverb, it would definitely be "immediately."
Thanks for checking out the blog! Feel free to post, we're very nice...

Lauri, I can't believe you wrote that question in that letter on pg 39! And why did you spell your name with an "e"? ;) (:

what do you think the answer is to the question on pg 90 that says, "when do you know when something is becoming something that changes you?"
How sad and how true it is that "you can say something and say something, but still nobody wants to hear it" (93).
Joe in chapter 1 reminds me of Romeo, always fliting after different people to love.
I asked because I wanted to know, duh..;) I totally love that he just wrote me into his book, though I do have to complain about the misspelling...
